How do we bring the different approaches of Biological Medicine together in everyday clinical practice?

The Intensive Training 2027 at BioMed Center Sonnenberg focuses on applying previously acquired knowledge to real patient cases. Together with Dr. med. Thomas Rau and the teaching team, participants will explore how to assess complex conditions, identify treatment priorities and develop individualised, multimodal treatment plans.

Building on the foundations of previous courses, the training connects clinical reasoning with practical application—from the initial patient assessment and interpretation of diagnostic findings to treatment selection, sequencing and follow-up.

Course topics

Case discussions will focus on selected conditions, including:

Autoimmune diseases, such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and rheumatoid arthritis
Post-COVID and complex chronic conditions
Neurodegenerative diseases
Integrative supportive care in cancer
Digestive dysfunction, dysbiosis and their relevance in complex cases

Participants will discuss how previously taught approaches—including nutrition, intestinal support, supplements, herbal preparations, Neural Therapy and other treatment modalities—can be integrated according to each patient’s needs. Clinical discussions will address the rationale, evidence, limitations and safety considerations behind treatment decisions, including coordination with conventional care.

Practical learning

Practical Neural Therapy training, interactive case discussions and exchange with the teaching team form central elements of the course. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding what to prioritise, how to combine approaches and when to adapt a treatment plan.

Who is this course for?

This advanced training is intended primarily for doctors and healthcare practitioners who have completed previous training with Dr. Rau, therefore have a solid foundation in Biological Medicine and wish to deepen its application in clinical practice.

The aim is to strengthen participants’ ability to connect their knowledge, reason through complex cases and develop a structured, patient-centred approach to care.

Prerequisites

Participation requires prior completion of the relevant BMI preparatory courses to ensure a consistent and advanced level of knowledge among all participants. Ideal for participants who value hands-on learning, professional exchange, and working at a high clinical and scientific level.

Course participants are welcome to stay at the vegan Sonnenberg Health Hotel****, where a plant-based diet and a serene mountain setting offer a holistic experience. Please note that accommodation is not included in the course fee and must be booked separately and directly with the hotel. A limited number of rooms has been pre-reserved for course participants, so we recommend booking early to secure your stay.
